Outsiders character analysis

I chose Pony Boy as my character and I chose him because he has dealt with a few to a lot of things. Pony Boy has good looking traits he has light brown, almost red hair and greenish gray eyes. I feel like Pony Boy is good looking. Pony boy has to deal with his big brother Darry’s remarks about him I would say this is an external. Ponyboy’s parents died in a car crash and he is very smart out of the gang which he feels different that is more of an internal conflict though. I thought that was internal because he is fighting with himself not to cry in front of the gang. Moving on to a different way of looking at Pony boys perspective. In Chapter 3 Pony boy makes a pretty good point towards cherry and how some greasers do live up to being rough. But not all socs are stuck up and mean to the greasers then uses the words of “some of us watch the sunset". I felt like  Pony boy was showing a side of him that the greasers don't usually show.

Ponyboy is the most sensitive smartest member of the greasers and doesn’t really use violence or says bad words. But then Pony boy changes a little bit from time to time. Sometimes he just thinks about the rivalry there is between the socs and greasers and thinks he’s very fortunate because compared to johnny he doesn’t get beat by his parents and from the socs that bad. So Pony is grateful something the socks and other greasers aren't. Also when he goes into the abandoned church to save those kids shows real character. Sometimes he tries not to get down. Pony boy’s motivation is to make Darry proud of him at least one time or at least of him say he’s proud because he’s the smallest one out of all of them and is smart. Ponyboy doesn’t really use common sense when it comes down to conflicts or anything as Darry says he maybe smart but no common sense. But I still like Pony boy he's really different compared to the rest.
